Timber/plasterboard Walls

When installing onto timber, we recommend using an electric staple gun. These are low cost and can be easily found at any hardware store. Be sure to start installing from one side of the wall, keeping each panel straight and facing upwards. Simply part the foliage aside and staple the plastic backing to the fence. Once you have installed the first piece you can simply attach the second piece using the eyelets on the backing and repeat the process. Be mindful that you continuously check that the panels are straight and all facing the same direction.

Metal/brick Walls

When installing onto metal or brick, we recommend installing a lattice frame or horizontal timber battens every 25-50cm apart. This allows you to minimize the number of holes you drill into your wall as well as allowing for a more secure installation using the timber installation guide, see above guide.

Chain link fence/railing

The quickest and easiest way to install artificial garden walls. Using heavy duty cable ties, slide through the backing of the panel and the fence/railing and secure the cable tie. Repeat this process around the border of the panel as many times as necessary to securely attach, as well as a few cable ties in the middle of the panel.

The best and worst ways to maintain your garden walls

Do's and Don'ts

Artificial garden walls are tough but not indestructible! Do NOT use a pressure washer to clean your garden walls. A gentle hose will do the trick. If they are outdoors the rain will clean most of the dust of for you naturally. Do NOT use poisons or cleaning products on your garden wall. This will dramatically decrease the life of the product and in some cases can bleach or melt the foliage. Do NOT install artificial garden walls in an area that will be subjected to intensified or magnified light sources, in particular, the sun. This will void your warranty and dramatically reduce the life of the product. Do NOT install artificial garden walls in an area that will be subjected to intense weather, eg. strong winds. The wear and tear of this product is not covered in the warranty.

Artificial garden walls are tough but not indestructible! Do NOT install artificial garden walls in an area that will be subjected to pollutants, eg. high traffic areas, exhaust points, places of high pollution, etc. These conditions can change the colour and life expectancy of the product. Due to slight variations in batch colours during manufacturing, purchasing the same model at different times may result in a slight colour difference. This is not a faulty or damaged item, it is simply due to slight variations in batches. As your product wears into its environment you may potentially notice a slight (5-10%) colour change within the first few years. This is due to the product developing a slight coating of dust, dirt, pollution, etc which can cause a slight colour difference. In most cases this difference is so minimal that it is not noticeable.
